I'm workin on it! I know where I want to get Dad/Grandma/Grandpa's presents from, but they are clear on the other side of the island. For everyone else, I'm looking for cool things that I think you would like. Its not so easy!

For TT and Alecia

This one says soft cream (sofuto kurimu), which is what they call soft serve ice cream.

This symbol means yu, which means boiling water. Kitty-chan is in a hot spring (onsen) which are super common and popular in Japan. In Spirited away, the evil witch who owned the onsen for kami was called Yubaba. The baba part is like 'granny'.

You guys were hardest to shop for, so I had Angelina pick out some stylish leggings for you. Leggings are super popular here, Japanese girls like super complicated outfits with like 30 layers so tights are a must.

For Momma

These are some cutesy rhinestone cell phone stickers. These kind of cellular upgrades are common in Japan.

You can put him on a mantle, on top of a tv, or virtually any flat surface in the house and he will instantly 'toto-rize' the room!

For Luke

I remember you used to think foreign coins were real awesome, this one is definitely awesome 2.0 Its a 1 sen coin from the ninth year of Meiji, which means its about 140 years old. That thing on the front is a dragon, the two kanji on the back stand for one and sen. A sen is 1/100 of a yen, although the coin is worth several hundred yen now.
This shirt is super awesome.

For Hans

Here is a handmade fan of a kabuki mask that we bought at Marugame Castle. The castle was built on top of a hill about 400 years ago and the hill was fortified with walls and ramparts. You can see basically the whole city and more from the top, and the whole city can see it.

The fans came from a shop at the bottom described to me as Marugamejo no Uchiwahakubutsukan (The Marugame Castle Fan Museum). They were made in traditional style, using tree stumps, wooden blocks, and other outdated tools by similarly ancient masters of the craft.


This shirt looks awesome.

Cutesy cell phone stickers for everyone!

A key chain Totoro, so he can always be with you even when you are driving.

This dust bunny hangs from a suction cup, so you can mount him in the house or in the car, but he isn't so mobile like the Totoro.

For Paul and Tasha

Gohan

A four star dragon ball case with candy in it. Once the candy is gone you can put whatever you want in it; pennies, keys, more candy, you know.

The cards are for Paul and the Kitty-chan stuff is for Tasha. Everything else is for both of you since you live in the same house and will share anyway.
